Partying it up Mardi Gras style!

This past weekend, my friends and I attended a banquet for 911 dispatchers. A really good friend of mine is a dispatcher herself....we all felt very honored to take part in this event, and I think we all have a bigger appreciation for dispatchers. The theme of the banquet was Mardi Gras, so we had a lot of fun with that:

Photographer said "Show some leg"...I was the only one that obeyed!
(BTW, not the best quality of picture)

Again, photographer said "Be goofy"....I guess I'm the goofiest of them all!

Traveling & Family

We've had a lot of visitors the past month, and I've also traveled back to Iowa (where I am originally from). I love nothing more than taking pictures with my friends and family, making and capturing those memories. I never go anywhere without my camera.

VISITS FROM FAMILY

My cousin and aunt came to visit us in CO, and we
visited Red Rocks, and got a little goofy!

Again with the goofy :)

I've decided I am going to take photography classes this year. I'm really excited, I've always been interested in photography, and I just want to learn so much more about it. I think I'll be taking traditional photography classes, as well as digital photography. I'll be buying my frist digital SLR camera for my classes, and I'd also like to purchase a Polaroid SX 70. Photography isn't necessarily something I'd get into full-time or as a career, just more of a hobby. Who knows where it'll take me! :)

Hiking Adventures: Volume 1

Holy moly, where has the time gone?! Spring has hit Colorado...and I haven't posted since November! The holidays are always crazy, I suppose.

Now that spring has sprung, we've already started hiking whenever possible. I've actually been hiking every morning, and I get to watch the sunrise over Denver. We also use the weekends to hike and/or snowshoe (I think the snowshoeing has come to end though).

My first experience snowshoeing--what a blast!

My dad--he's a goofy one :)

Just having fun :)

We never get tired of spending time outdoors, not matter what the weather is.
